Dream & Achieve

An educational program aimed at equipping war-affected Ukrainian women with the necessary entrepreneurial and digital skills to improve their living conditions, economic integration and financial security.

The program will provide the participants with in-depth knowledge and understanding of the process of building an online business from scratch or transitioning from offline to online, developing own brands, finding target audiences, new customers, and new markets.

The program is aimed at Ukrainian women over the age of 18 who have been affected by the war and:

PROGRAM

FORMAT
The mentorship program will be delivered by 15 highly qualified business mentors from leading international companies and successful startups.
The mentors will provide invaluable assistance and support to the participants, helping them to refine their business ideas, develop comprehensive business plans, and gain valuable knowledge and experience.

MODULES
01

Starting a business and going online

The entrepreneur's worldview, what it is and what tools can help in finding a business idea; business modeling and how to implement it in your own business; success story from entrepreneur Mary Furtas.

Online presence: website and other tools

The tools you need to bring your business online, with a focus on, but not limited to, websites; practical tips for creating websites using template platforms; website components that will make it most effective.

Creating and developing a powerful brand

Brand and what it is; the role of a brand for business; creating a brand strategy. A separate part of this training video is devoted to PR.

Promoting business with online tools

Google and Meta tools used by small businesses to promote goods and services with a focus on online advertising; the concept of a sales funnel; segmentation options and strategies for attracting an audience through advertising at each stage of the funnel.

Social media marketing

Best practices of social media marketing; cooperation with female opinion leaders (influencers).

Selling goods on marketplaces

The main Ukrainian marketplaces, their capabilities, advantages and disadvantages; best practices for using them. Entrepreneur Olena Gashynska will share her own success story and talk about alternative ways of selling online.

Entering new markets abroad

Entering international markets with a focus on sales through international marketplaces such as Amazon, Etsy, Ebay; their availability and accessibility for Ukrainian entrepreneurs.

Customer journey and behavior and customer service

The customer journey; the role of high-quality customer service in building a successful business; understanding how to avoid the misconception that investing in customer service is necessary only at later stages of a company's development.

Social entrepreneurship

Social entrepreneurship; business models for social entrepreneurship; integration of social impact elements into existing business models and business processes.

Financial planning

Practical skills in financial planning and the ability to build a financial model for your own business. Additionally, learning about the tools available in Ukraine to attract finances.

The art of collaboration

In this training module, you will learn about: the benefits of collaboration; how to effectively collaborate with others and create partnerships to optimize resources and accelerate business development.

Mental health

The module is dedicated to stress resistance and stress management. You will learn effective ways to overcome stress, as well as practical breathing techniques to maintain mental balance.

Resilience 2.0

You will learn about practical approaches to achieving inner harmony, balancing emotions, and developing positive thinking.

Selection

criteria
To participate in the program, potential participants must meet the following general criteria:

Stage 1. Technical selection

Age:

Participants must be over 18 years old.

Gender:

Participants must identify themselves as women, regardless of their sex at birth.

Citizenship:

Participants must be citizens of Ukraine, whose place of residence is registered in Ukraine as of February 24, 2022

Education:

Participants must have at least a complete secondary education.

Stage 2. Final selection by the jury committee

Vulnerable status
of victims of war:

priority will be given to vulnerable categories, including internally displaced women, single mothers, women with disabilities, veterans and family members of veterans.

Loss of income/
employment:

priority will be given to applicants who have fully or partially lost their source of income/employment or are at risk of losing their income/employment.
03

Preliminary
needs assessment:

priority will be given to applicants who demonstrate the highest level of need and readiness to participate in the program, already have a business idea or a business that needs to be developed and digitalized.
04

Regional
needs representation:

the project team will ensure a balanced representation of different regions of Ukraine among the final candidates. In the selection of 80 participants from Ukraine, displaced persons from the East and South of Ukraine (occupied territories and areas near the front line) will be given slightly more weight due to their particularly difficult economic circumstances.

The «Dream and Achieve» educational program is implemented by the NGO Impact Force in partnership with UN Women, with the support of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, the Entrepreneurship and Export Promotion Office, and the national project Diia.Business, with financial support from the Government of Sweden.
